With the presence of the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, and key figures from the innovation ecosystem, the facilities of Chile’s first Deep Tech hub—an initiative by Corfo and Fundación Chile—were inaugurated. This space seeks to connect scientific talent with the country’s most urgent environmental challenges.

Earlier this year, StartupLab.01 was officially inaugurated at NIDO Lucía. The space features laboratories and specialized infrastructure for scientific and technological startups addressing climate challenges. This milestone consolidates the building not only as an architectural landmark, but as Chile’s first Deep Tech innovation hub dedicated exclusively to science-based startups tackling the climate crisis.

The ceremony was attended by President Gabriel Boric; José Miguel Benavente, Executive Vice President of Corfo; Pablo Zamora, President of Fundación Chile; Francisca Contreras, Executive Director of StartupLab.01; and Eduardo Valente, President of its Strategic Council. During the event, authorities toured the new facilities, highlighting the state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to enable entrepreneurs and scientists to test disruptive solutions.

The arrival of StartupLab.01 at NIDO Lucía reinforces Territoria’s commitment to transforming the urban environment. Located in a strategic area of Santiago, the project becomes a scientific–technological hub that connects local talent with major national and international challenges.

No man is an island. We are a species that depend on each other. We are united by invisible bonds. Not just the bonds between people, but also with our surroundings and ecosystems.
